Legislative activity at local, state, and federal level can be play a significant role in addressing domestic violence. Whether it is The Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2019 or support for shelters at the local level, organized advocacy efforts are an important part of the process in working to end domestic violence. This session will highlight current legislative initiatives relating to domestic violence and the action that needs to be taken to address them.
